Salty Sea Dog Designs showcases the artistry of Canadian husband-and-wife duo Blair and Sarah Dawes. Their handcrafted ceramic mugs feature charming animal designs, vibrant colors, and whimsical expressions that bring joy to everyday moments.

The couple's journey began at AUArts (formerly ACAD) in 2000, where they bonded over their shared passion for ceramics. Graduating with BFAs in 2004, they transformed their friendship into a loving partnership and thriving business by 2007.

Each Salty Sea Dog creation is a true collaboration. Sarah expertly throws the forms on the potter's wheel, while Blair meticulously hand-sculpts the intricate details. Sarah's eye for color brings their pieces to life through hand-painting, with Blair lending his skills when needed. The result is a distinct, instantly recognizable style that captures the imagination.

Inspired by their love for animals, the sea, and their travels, Blair and Sarah craft designs that celebrate both familiar and lesser-known creatures. Their handmade mugs not only serve as functional pieces but also as unique works of art that reflect the rich tapestry of Canadian craftsmanship.
