This delightful blue whale butter dish is a fun way to keep your butter handy while keeping it fresh.
This butter dish is lovingly created on the wheel and the details are built on by hand. The plate is made with a raised lip to keep your pad of butter in place and protect against the moving lid. As an extra detail we have painted the narwhal lid in a beautiful teal and is contrasted nicely against a blue plate. This colour is a great accent colour in almost any kitchen colour.
Our butterdishes are lovingly created on the wheel and then the features are built on by hand. Since all of our items are built one at a time, no two are exactly the same. Our creations are also hand painted adding to the unique design on every pice. You may be able to see our hands at work in the brush strokes of the glaze.

While it was bigger than I expected, I couldn’t be happier! This little guy holds a stick of butter, probably could put two in if I stacked them, and is super cute to have on the counter.
So glad this cutie found its way into your amazing home. The great Canadian butter sizing is often surprising to our American friends. Since we are a Canadian company we build our butter dishes from the dimensions of what is sold in our stores. Americans often refer to their butter as 'sticks', and Canadians often say 'bricks'. Our butter is sold in a package 4x the size of your sticks. I have no doubt you can fit 2 of yours in this whale belly because we have to cut our bricks in half for this dish.

I bought this as a house warming gift for myself when I moved out. I then had to start buying butter so I had something to put in it lol Worth it.
We don't really leave butter out that often, but then it occured to me - because of the rim on the plate, it can also be used to store a serving of m&m's on the counter. SOLD! I love it, so happy I grabbed one. Thanks for another awesome piece you guys!
